In the Diecast collecting community, everyone collects for their own reasons. Nostalgia, fondness of the cars, inner child, or monetary value are some reasons why people collect diecast. Each of the major Brands (Hot Wheels, M2 Machines, Auto World, Johnny Lightning, and Greenlight) have their own versions of chase cars in their lines, with unique characteristics. Here is an introduction to Chase Cars and some of their stories.
Hot Wheels:
Chase cars in Hot Wheels are broken up into two categories, Treasure Hunts, and Super Treasure Hunts. You can typically find a Treasure Hunt Chase car in a fresh case of Hot Wheels, and a Super in about 1 out of 5 cases, sometimes 1 to 9 or more cases.
