We Want Retros part 2

For part 2 of We Want Retros, I’m going to rank them worst to best and give my thoughts on each.

My criteria for ranking: 1) parts/action choice 2) attire choice 3) headscan 4) character fit 5) personal favorites

Full disclosure, I don’t currently own Finn Balor, Kevin Owens 2, Samoa Joe, or Junkyard Dog. None are my worst or best though.

Let’s get into it with the worst, and don’t worry they get better:

“The Worst of them all:”

40: Goldberg, series 4. The Worst of them all. There is no way this guy should have the “jumper” action. Plus they made him look like Gillberg in the face.
39: Triple H, series 2. Another guy who had no reason being a jumper, and the 1998 attire was not the most iconic look for him. The face scan is decent.
38: Shawn Michaels, series 7. Decent attire, but this is the worst headscan out of all retros, and possibly out of all Mattels.
37: Zack Ryder, series 7. Zack should have had a modern beard version instead of this throwback version that looks nothing like him in the face.
36: Sheamus, series 7. Sheamus was adequate but that’s all. Just a guy filling a spot.
35: Sami Zayn, series 4. With the limited number of retro slots available, this guy could have been someone with more name value. The figure, like Sheamus, is adequate.
34: Sting 2, series 5. This repaint was not needed, it could have been someone else in his spot instead of Wolfpac Sting. The two Sting figures have the best face scans though.
33: Matt Hardy, series 10. For Woken Matt, this probably should have been a throwback attire. The blue gear is too plain. Good headscan for the era.
32: Seth Rollins, series 3. Another jumper, but a better fit, but overall this figure is just sort of boring.
31: Iron Sheik, Series 8: Sheiky is way down on the list of Legends who deserved to be made. But they needed a use for Xavier Woods curly boots.
