An annual tradition, it’s time to rank the 2025 Super Treasure Hunts from Hot Wheels. This ranking is purely my opinion, and has some criteria:
- Casting choice
- Color
- Wheels
- Intangibles like repeated castings or anything else I choose
Here are my 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 rankings.
There are fifteen castings that became Super Treasure Hunts for 2025, and this is my ranking, starting with 15-11:
2025 Super Treasure Hunts, 15-11:

Hi-Roller II
Case: C
Rank: 15
Starting from the bottom is this piece of garbage. Automatically deducting points for being a fantasy casting, this lump was all over Dollar Tree. The only redeeming quality this one has, is the non super version has inverted colors, which is a nice touch.

Aston Martin DB4GT High-Speed Edition
Case: E
Rank: 14
Another 2024 debut fast tracked to the Super series. This one also does nothing for me, even though it has the gold mooneyes color scheme, it doesn’t save it here. It visually pops but the casting is too far away from my preference.

Porsche 911 Rallye
Case: G
Rank: 13
Another 2024 debut, and already has the Super treatment. The color is the only saving grace here, normally I am all about green supers, but otherwise another swing and a miss.

’62 Corvette Gasser
Case: J
Rank: 12
This one has a couple of strikes against it. It’s a black super, which never works well, and it has a cluttered racing design which doesn’t add anything of value here. Call this one mediocre.

’20 Jeep Gladiator
Case: F
Rank: 11
This one isn’t much better, another black super. I understand why they made it, but this thing is not impressive at all. Pass.
2025 Super Treasure Hunts 10-6:

McLaren Speedtail
Case: K
Rank: 10
Technically, there’s nothing wrong with this one, it’s just boring to me. The orange works though. Moving on.

BMW M3 Wagon
Case: Q
Rank: 9
There’s nothing really good or bad about this one. The only saving grace is the bright green.

NAME
Case: P
Rank: 8
This one is 1000% saved by it’s livery, as the Gulf oil super makes it’s return here. The teal and orange are fantastic, but I don’t think too highly of this casting at all.

73 Honda Civic Custom
Case: M
Rank: 7
Mattel loves their red Supers, and this one is no exception. Not every Civic needs to be a super though.

1975 Datsun Sunny Truck (B120)
Case: C
Rank: 6
This truck isn’t my favorite casting by any means, but the colors used here look magnificent. This one is also a bit unique in that the non-super version is teal, and the super is blue.
The top 5:

’87 Audi Quattro
Case: A
Rank: 5
Honestly, a mediocre casting, but the color jumps right out in an amazing shade of Spectraflame Green, and the clean look gives this one a huge boost.

94 Bugatti EB110 SS
Case: L
Rank: 4
This super has grown on me. The light purple spectra flame, and the clean look are very impressive. This one is a contender among the best in other years.

20 Dodge Charger Hellcat
Case: N
Rank: 3
This one is a strong contender. The pink color is refreshing from so many red and black supers, and this is a great casting. No notes here.

Hirohata Merc
Case: B
Rank: 2
Our second annual Purple Super brings us this breathtaking Mercury, which is extremely sharp to look at and is my favorite of what’s been released to date (6-11-25). It could easily be number one. This one was an in-store find for me and that is always an added bonus.

71 Mustang Funny Car
Case: H
Rank: 1
The best out of a poor field this year. The red looks great with the gold wheels, and overall just a great looking super. Here’s hoping for improvement next year.
