Target is another store that’s getting into the exclusives, they’ve had a few sub series, the decade cars in 2018 and 2019, and before that there were throwback cars for 2016 and 2017.
Starting in 2017, Target and Mattel rolled out the red edition series. The Red Edition Series consists of 12 red and white, Target-exclusive cars. They were released in sets of three, four times per year. This has followed in 2018 and 2019.
Target in 2016 also released a set of approximately 36 “snowflake” cards and “spring” cards. These had identical vehicles to the main line, with a decorative card. These were fun to track down.
