Which Hot Wheels Anniversary Series do you have? A checklist

In 2018, Hot Wheels celebrated its 50th Anniversary. To celebrate its Anniversary, they released the “50th Anniversary Black & Gold Collection”, a series of 6 cars and 1 chase car painted in black with gold accents. Since then, a new series has been created each year to celebrate the age of the brand. Each set is easily identified by its distinctive color theme and anniversary number printed on each car. 2021 marked the first year to switch to 2 mixes with one chase car. The chase cars are in opposite deco compared to the rest of the wave. For example, the 67 Camaro from 50th Anniversary is gold with black trim. After the first set, this series is not usually found at Walmart or Target, instead normally at Meijer, Walgreens, CVS, Big Lots, and other similar retailers. Below is a list of the Anniversary Series.

*It only took to the second year for Mattel to insert a HW Originals junk car to the line up (Aristo Rat I’m looking at you) but that’s been quite typical in these special series. As with most Hot Wheels Sub-Series, I enjoy tracking these down. They appear through the year, so it’s generally a nice surprise to find them.
