Legends 15, Elite 94, Amazon Ultimate Edition, Walmart Exclusives and more!
Mattel has resumed its assault on our wallets with some new previews for upcoming figures in the Legends, Elites, and Ultimate editions line. These WWE Elite Reveals were posted on WWE.com. These are the ones I definitely plan on picking up as they arrive later this year.
WWE Elite Series 94:
The Hitman gets two Elites in one wave, from Summerslam 1991 and 1992. The 1992 version features pink tights and black top, from his match with British Bulldog. The 1991 Chase edition features his 1991 black tights and pink top from his match against Mr. Perfect. The Intercontinental title is included with both.
Speaking of the British Bulldog, he is also in Elite series 94, in his 1992 attire from his match with Bret Hart. The face scan is still off, but this is a must have.
WWE Elite Reveals: Legends Series 15:
Any additions to the nWo lineup are always welcome, and this Luger fits right in. This represents his time in the nWo Wolfpac from 1998, and is part of Legends series 15.
I feel good about this one, having called for it in a previous post. In the Early 1990s Lex Luger was an important figure in WCW, becoming champion in 1991. He is definitely needed in the Legends line, and will be coming to us in Legends 15. Both Lex Lugers will come with both heads and the nWo shirt.
Stacy is not a priority for me, but she was a popular character in WCW and WWE for a time, so she will be a popular addition as the first female in the Legends line.
Our journey with the DX Army that started with Legends 12 Billy Gunn, then Legends 13 HHH, Legends 14 Road Dogg and Chyna, now concludes with X-Pac in Legends 15. This figure looks to be spot on as well.
The Big Red Machine returns in his 2002 attire, with a highly detailed outfit and the rare 2002 Raw Tag Team Championship which has only been released a few times. This figure is Similar to his Decade of Domination figure, but different enough to be a worthy addition to Legends Series 15.
WWE Elite Reveals: Walmart Ruthless Aggression line
Brock gets a great figure here with the rare Undisputed title belt, and is a great inclusion for the debuting Ruthless Aggression series coming to Walmart. Coincidentally, Brock was also in Jakks WWE Ruthless Aggression series 1 back in 2003.
Like Lesnar, Batista was also in Jakks Ruthless Aggression series 1 in 2003. His Evolution era attire is a nice choice and this will be a good figure to add in with Legends and Flashbacks.
Rounding out the Ruthless Aggression Series is a figure that has been in high demand. Shawn Michaels in his Wrestlemania 23 attire has been long awaited. This is another that will be a must have.
Ringside Collectibles Exclusive:
This figure is beautiful. The Ultimate Edition is still the standard for Hollywood Hogans, but this one is a great addition to a later version of Hollywood. This one will only be available on Ringside Collectibles.
Amazon Fan TakeOver Exclusive:
This Shawn Michaels looks fantastic. Hopefully it won’t be as difficult to come by as some of the other Amazon Ultimate Editions have been, because it’s a must to add to the collection.
WWE Ultimate Edition series 13:
Mattel is keeping the Hogans coming, as this is Hulk’s third Ultimate Edition. This time it represents his Wrestlemania 1 time, including the 1985 WWF title belt. This one is a must have.
Hulk’s partner at Wrestlemania 1 is Mr. T, so he is the perfect compliment to Hogan in Wave 13.
Breaking news:
It was revealed by Steve Ozer (actionfigureattack) who represents the Mattel Design team, that Ultimate Edition series 4 Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels will be re-released. This is a pleasant surprise, as that wave never made it to stores, only online for a short time. The secondary market on these figures has them around $200, so it will be nice to get them at retail price, as I had skipped out on the short window they were available.
In conclusion:
It’s always fun to get new reveals. I expect the next big drop be at Wrestlemania week. Until then, happy hunting!
