- Target Red Editions: Red editions are Target Store exclusive cars that share the same deco as regular mainline cars, but have exclusive colors. They are primarily red, white, and black. Starting in 2017, there are 12 Red Editions per year, released in groups of three. See Below for examples.
- Flying Customs: This year, Mattel brought back the vintage Flying Customs line to Target stores as an exclusive. 16 of these have been released in 2020. See Gallery for examples.

Previous Exclusives
- Retro Series: The Hot Wheels Retro Style Series is a line of retro-carded vehicles released exclusively at Target. 16 of these cars were released in 2016. Following that in 2017, wave 1 was a batch of re-releases from 2016. Wave 2 and 3 brought seven more cars to the set, bringing the total release to 23. See below for example of these blue-carded vehicles.
- Throwback Series: In 2018, Hot Wheels released a series of 20 vehicles commemorating their 50th Anniversary. These cars features a “decades” theme from the 60s to the 2010s. A box set was released featuring 10 recolored cars. This line continued into 2019, with 16 more released in the decades theme. See Below for examples of the Throwback Decades cars.
- Snowflake/Springtime cards: in 2016, Target released Store Exclusives Carding variations. The first were “Snowflake” cards, with no changes to the vehicle. This was last done in 2010. The second version were “Springtime” cards, featuring a different batch of cars with a sunny background. See the gallery above for examples of each.
