Worst to best: The Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts of 2021

2020 was a mixed bag for Regular Treasure Hunts, with some hits and some misses. This is normal for Hot Wheels since the Treasure Hunts were split away from Supers in 2013. You’ll get a mix of fantasy cars, cars for kids, and real vehicles.

This post will sort out and rank the Regular Treasure Hunts for 2020, from best to worst:

The best Regular Treasure Hunt for 2020:

The 2013 Hot Wheels Chevy Camaro special edition. I’m biased to Camaros, green cars, and real models. The H case Treasure Hunt is number one.
#2: Dodge Charger Daytona. This tooned model is a fun representation of the classic Charger, and the yellow pops. A good choice here from G case.
#3: Chevy Silverado. The P case regular Hunt is a great choice, the lime green stands out and you can’t go wrong with Chevy Trucks.
#4: Custom 56 Ford Truck: The Hunt for K case is a fun Art Cars design which isn’t as realistic but is definitely eye catching.
#5: Batman Arkham Asylum Batmobile: E case offered a Batmobile for the lineup, and it’s a good offering in a dark blue scheme. I found quite a few of these.

6-10:

#6: Dodge Viper: The Hot Wheels racing offering from Q case is a decent car, the HW racing deco is iconic.
#7: Grass Chomper: This fantasy model from C case is interesting to me mainly due to the color. You don’t see many neon orange models in Hot Wheels.
#8: Mercedes-Benz Unimog 1300. C case brought out a nice model but it’s kind of boring at the same time. It’s a rarely seen vehicle which is always a bonus.
#9: Tricera-Truck: L case showed up with a pure fantasy car. I thought this one was a nice design for what it is with a different black with blue and yellow design.
#10: Circle Trucker: F case brings us a nice design with silver and orange, but kind of falls in the middle of the pack. Average car here.

11-15:

#11: Power Pistons: J case brings us an average car that only has the yellow translucent design to stand out with.
#12: Bubble Matic: A case didn’t get us off to a great start with this one, a pure fantasy car and not much to offer as a collectible.
#13: Dune Daddy: The pink scheme helps, but this L case offering is pretty boring otherwise.
#14: The Beatles Yellow Submarine: this one gets a low score because it’s not unique from any other of its releases other than a circle flame logo.
#15: Buns of Steel. This one doesn’t have much to offer. D case takes the last spot here.

Treasure Hunts in closing:

2020 has been a good year for Hot Wheels, and the Treasure Hunts are fun to collect.

Happy hunting!
