As seen on a previous post, the WCW Galoob line was a fun, but short lived series starting in 1991. These were a nice compliment to the WWF Hasbros, as they were the same size. The difference was that the Galoobs had no articulation, and were stuck in a specific pose. Still, they were fun to collect and add to the Hasbro line.
Criteria: Pose, Playability, Attire, Accuracy, and my own personal opinions.
Starting at the bottom:
#30: Ron Simmons, UK Version. The folded in arm and white stripe “doom” this one.
#29: Ron Simmons, US Version. The Folded in arm.
#28: El Gigante. His arms are pointed straight up.
#27: Lex Luger, Green Trunks Version. Luger didn’t wear stripes, bad pose.
#26: Lex Luger, Blue Trunks Version. Bad pose.
#25: Barry Windham, Blue Trunks Version. Technically this is fine, but he should have had his kneepads on and not around his ankles.
#24: Barry Windham, Black Trunks Version. See above.
#23: Brian Pillman, Blue Trunks Version. I’ve never seen Brian in knee pads with tiger faces on them.
#22: Ric Flair, Red Trunks Version. A lightning bolt?
#21: Lex Luger, Entrance Attire. It makes sense, but not a great figure.
#20: Tom Zenk. No Knee Pads, very boring.
#19: Rick Steiner, Gray attire. Everyone had The Steiners, but the UK one is better.
#18: Sting, Entrance Attire. This is a nice figure, with little playability.
#17: Jimmy Garvin. His face looks smeared.
#16: Michael Hayes. Better than Jimmy, that’s about it.
#15: Scott Steiner, Yellow Attire. See #19
#14: Brian Pillman, Orange Attire. This is an iconic Galoob but his hands are in the air.
#13: Butch Reed. Not much to say about this one. It’s average.
#12: Big Josh. A deep cut, very hard to come by.
#11: Sid Vicious , Black Attire. Sid is an awesome figure, but the pink looks better.
The WCW Galoob Top 10:
#10: Sid Vicious, Pink Attire. The Pink Attire stands out.
#9: Sting, Black Attire. The least colorful of the three main Stings.
#8: Arn Anderson, Red Attire. Nothing wrong here, but the white is more classic.
#7: Ric Flair, Blue Attire. This figure is pretty much perfect.
#6: Dustin Rhodes. He’s huge, but this is a great figure.
#5: Sting, Orange Attire. Getting more colorful and Sting is the standard on Galoobs.
#4: Arn Anderson, White Attire. The classic AA attire.
#3: Scott Steiner, Pink/Blue Attire. This one is nicer than the yellow one. Needs Knee Pads.
#2: Rick Steiner, Green Attire. This figure is awesome in person. A great representation of the Steiners.
#1: Sting, Blue Attire. The Galoob figure. Has to be number one.
