Superstars Series 6:
And we’re back.
- Triple H
- Jeff Jarrett
- Marc Mero
- Mark Henry
- Owen Hart
- Steve Blackman
The best this batch is Owen Hart, followed closely by Triple H. The worst of the bunch is Steve Blackman, who made my worst of BCA list. The Jarrett was colorful but should have been in plain white, that he wore at the time the figure was being created.
Superstars Series 7:
This might be the peak of the line.
- Undertaker (new mold)
- Stone Cold Steve Austin (street clothes)
- X-Pac
- Dr Death Steve Williams
- Edge
- Val Venis
The best here is the Undertaker, followed very closely by X-Pac. Worst of the bunch was one of the biggest shelf warmers of all time, Steve Williams.
Superstars Series 8 (Team Corporate)
This one filled some holes in the lineup.
- Ken Shamrock
- Big Boss Man
- Kane
- Shane McMahon
- Commissioner Michaels
- The Rock
This one is a mixed bag, with two suited figures. Best of the bunch is Big Boss Man, who was very accurate for the time. The worst would be The Rock, who came in track pants and just wasn’t that interesting.
Superstars Series 9:
The end of the line.
- Paul Wight
- Gangrel
- Christian
- Hardcore Holly
- Vince McMahon
- Undertaker (ministry of Darkness version)
My personal favorite here was Paul Wight, but they are all pretty decent-to-good. The worst of the batch was Vince McMahon, with the “removable suit” which made him look like the Michelin Man.
There were more releases of BCA figures after this, with the Signature Series, Box Sets, and the Kay-Bee toys Backlash figures, but Series 9 was the end of the Superstars Series for Jakks. I have tons of great memories of collecting these, and they will always have a place in my collection.
